This is where I start my process by planning out the composition of the piece.

After the initial sketch, I redraw over the top of the piece to lay out proper anatomy and perspective.

Next, I start cleaning up the sketch to create a clean mix of thick and thin lines to give a sense of depth and weight.

At this stage, I start thinking about the colors. However, instead of jumping straight into color, I begin with black and white to figure out the values. Once the values are determined, I start adding colors.

This step adds an extra layer of depth to the piece, making it more three-dimensional.

Similar to the previous step, lighting adds an extra bit of life to the piece.

And then we are done!
